Une veuve qui se fait escroquer de l'argent de l'assurance de son mari, décide de trouver les réponses. C'est comment elle rencontre à plusieurs reprises les noms de deux avocats du Panama, les dirigeants de "Mossack Fonseca", l'un des plus grand cabinets mondiaux de montage financier. Il s'avère vite qu'ils sont au centre du scandale "Panama Papers" et qu'ils sont permis l'évasion fiscale et le blanchissement d'argent pour des centaines de milliers de sociétés offshore.
