Par ailleurs, bien qu'elle aime toujours Kurt, leurs convictions politiques opposées l'amènent à s'interroger sur la solidité de leur relation. L'avocate cherche un moyen de se déconnecter de ce monde qu'elle ne comprend plus et essaie différentes méthodes. Une ultime saison avec des invités de luxe comme Alan Cumming, qui reprend son rôle d'Eli Gold de 'The Good Wife", ou Andre Braugher ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine").
