00:00Two minutes to the gentlelady from Colorado.
00:02Almost recognized.
00:04Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
00:05I rise in support of the No Rogue Rulings Act,
00:09a bold and necessary step to bringing in activist judges
00:12who have made it their sole mission to obstruct the agenda of President Donald J. Trump.
00:20Let's be clear about what is at stake.
00:23In November 2024, the American people gave President Trump a mandate
00:27to secure our borders, shrink a bloated federal bureaucracy,
00:32and put America first.
00:35He's acted swiftly, with over 100 executive orders in just three months
00:40to deliver on those promises that he made to the American people.
00:45But what have we seen?
00:46Unelected judges have issued sweeping nationwide injunctions
00:51to stop him at every turn.
00:54Fifty-three lawsuits already halting deportations of dangerous criminal aliens,
01:01blocking cuts to wasteful spending,
01:04and tying the hands of a president doing his best to protect America.
01:11This isn't justice.
01:13It's judicial tyranny.
01:15The No Rogue Rulings Act says enough is enough.
01:18It's simple common sense fix.
01:20No single district judge should have the power to grind the entire nation
01:25to a halt with one rogue ruling.
01:28Why should a single unelected judge
01:31override the votes of 80 million Americans?
01:37This is not how our Constitution was designed.
01:40The Founding Fathers gave Congress the power to check the courts,
01:46and it's time we began using it.
01:49Take Judge James Borster's ruling last month,
01:53halting deportations of Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act.
01:58President Trump invoked a law from 1798 to protect our streets,
02:03and one judge decided he knows better than the commander-in-chief.
02:07It's time to take our government back from the black-robed bureaucrats.
02:12I support this bill,
02:13and I thank the gentleman from California,
02:16Mr. Issa, for introducing it.
02:18I yield.
