00:20The Calnaon Volcano erupted again at 5.51 a.m. this morning, April 8,
00:26prompting the eruption of a volcano of 4,000 meters high.
00:30According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of PHEVOLCS,
00:34the erupted volcano was engulfed by the wind in the southeastern part of the country.
00:38Thick ashfall was also recorded in the towns and cities around the volcano,
00:42including La Castellana, La Carlota City, Baguio City, and Ponte Vedra.
00:47PHEVOLCS also recorded the pyroclastic density currents,
00:51or the materials from the volcano, such as ash, stones, and gas,
00:55that erupted in the southeastern part of the volcano.
00:58Authorities are also advising the public to wear a face mask
01:03or any alternative to cover their nose and mouth to avoid the eruption of ash.
01:08Schools and offices in La Carlota City and nearby towns were immediately shut down.
01:14Meanwhile, the local water district of La Carlota also issued a warning
01:19especially in Barangay Araal and San Miguel,
01:21which may experience a weak or lack of water supply
01:25because its water source is affected by the re-eruption of the volcano.
