00:00Mostly, when we are just happy, we do not even know where the happiness is coming from.
00:05You go to a monkey, for example, you show it a banana.
00:08The monkey immediately moves towards the banana, stretches its hand, leans towards it, tries
00:14to jump.
00:15Does the monkey know why it is doing such a thing?
00:18Does it know what the banana means?
00:19Does it even have time or the intention to reflect?
00:24This is called compulsive behavior.
00:26Banana for sure induced a certain happiness in the monkey.
00:29That is the quality of most of our happiness.
00:33When these thoughts arise, when emotions arise, then a human being as opposed to an animal
00:39has to know what is really going on.
00:42The animal just gives in.
00:44It does not really have any need to reflect or pause because it has no urge towards liberation
00:49in the first place.
00:50But you being a human being, if you behave like animals, then you will suffer.
