00:00Hello, my name is Digvijay Singh and I welcome you to Koteswar.
00:09Right now, we are at Startup Mahakam where more than 3000 startups are participating.
00:14We had a such a successor with us whose idea I found very brilliant.
00:18And I thought I should talk to him because his startup is related to AgriTech.
00:23And he can do a lot of work for the future in pilot physics.
00:28So, Mr. Koteswar, please tell us about your company and what exactly is your startup?
00:37My name is Koteswar Rao and I am from Hyderabad.
00:40My company's name is Ascription Technologies.
00:43At Ascription Technologies, we use latest technologies like AI and ML computer vision
00:50to create a mobile app for animal identification.
00:56Right now, the problem is that we manually tag the animals.
01:03We put a tag on the animal and keep three months for the wound to heal.
01:09With that, there is also an infection.
01:11Sometimes, the animal also dies because of that.
01:15And when an animal goes to eat, the tag can be removed.
01:19That is permanent.
01:20Every year, the government spends Rs. 40 on tagging.
01:25We brought in digital technology.
01:27Since 1925, in the United States and Japan,
01:30we used to put a print on the animal's face and store it.
01:34Now, we have created an algorithm using image processing technologies,
01:38artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning.
01:42With that, we take a photo of the animal on the mobile app.
01:46With that photo, our algorithm takes out the image of the muzzle.
01:53We run that pattern on the AI and ML algorithm and create a unique ID.
01:58We call it the Aadhaar ID.
02:02Let's take a look at the Aadhaar card.
02:04It's a fingerprint.
02:06Let's take a thumb impression for the Aadhaar card.
02:09It's the muzzle of the animal.
02:12It's very revolutionary.
02:15You were saying that there is a pilot project going on in Andhra.
02:19Yes, there is an AP government project.
02:21Chandrababu Naidu has also seen our presentation.
02:24He is the Director of Animal Husbandry, Damodar Naidu.
02:27Normally, you get ideas from here.
02:32What were you doing before this?
02:34You were showing your courage.
02:38I have a Master's Degree in Image Processing from Indian Institute of Science,
02:44which is a premium institute for a Master's in Signal Processing.
02:47Then I worked for IBM multinational companies.
02:51I came from a farmer's background.
02:56I have seen the problems day in and day out.
02:59Recently, before I started, there was a natural calamity in Vijayawada.
03:06Almost 50,000 animals went missing.
03:09It was very difficult for the Andhra government to identify them.
03:1350,000 animals went missing.
03:15No one knows where they went.
03:18They don't even have a tag.
03:20They don't even have insurance.
03:23After seeing the problem, I got an idea.
03:26How can we identify them and benefit from it?
03:30To make it bigger, what is the status of funding?
03:36You are raising funds from here.
03:37The government is getting support.
03:39What is the support from the central government?
03:41You are a startup.
03:43How can we benefit from it?
03:45So far, the company has been running on our own funds.
03:49We are also open.
03:51We will support some government investors.
03:54But we got a good opportunity from the central government
03:57to show our technology.
04:01People like you are coming and speaking well.
04:03A lot of investors are coming.
04:05The government's pitch deck has also been done.
04:08The Andhra government is also supporting us well.
04:11We gave a chance to NARAM for incubation.
04:15NABAR is also sponsoring this program.
04:17We are getting a lot of support.
04:19We want to take this to the entire world.
04:22Because we patented this technology.
04:25This is not limited to the Indian government.
04:28It is for the whole world.
04:30You were inspired by the Aadhaar card.
04:34Did you see the tagging with the animal?
04:42Yes, I saw it.
04:44I saw the pain.
04:46A lot of animals are in pain.
04:49Especially in the winter time.
04:51It takes 3-4 months to heal the wound.
04:54It was very painful.
04:56What are your plans for this technology?
04:59There are government schemes.
05:03What about the non-government schemes?
05:05Insurance companies are very beneficial.
05:10The feed factories are very useful.
05:16You can track the dairy.
05:18You can track the milk from which animal.
05:22You can track the milk from which buffalo.
05:27You can track the breed of the cow.
05:29You can track the breed of the cow.
05:31You can do artificial insemination.
05:34You can track the breed of the cow.
05:38You can do data-driven analytics.
05:41Farmers, government, medical companies, insurance companies.
05:46All these are beneficial.
05:48This technology is the last mile.
05:51Thank you very much.
05:54All the best.
05:55Thank you so much.
05:56Thank you for giving the opportunity.
05:58You have invented a new technology.
06:02I think it will be very beneficial for you.
06:04Sure.
