GE2025: Amy Khor says humbling and meaningful to serve Hong Kah for 24 years

MP for Hong Kah North SMC, Dr Amy Khor shares fond memories of the constituency she has served for 24 years. Hong Kah North SMC has been incorporated into the neighbouring Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC and Chua Chu Kang GRC for the upcoming GE.

00:00I have been in Hongkanof, serving Hongkanof residents for 24 years as I've said, so definitely

00:14it is a humbling and yet very meaningful and satisfying journey that I've had with residents.

00:20So I've seen residents whom I've given edu-save bursary and when I go house visit in Bukit

00:27Batok West now, they greet me with a baby and tell me that I got edu-save bursary from

00:34you and now I'm here because I like this place, so I bought a house here and there are many

00:39like that.

00:40Whether I will be fielded in the upcoming election and if so, where I will stand, that

00:49is a decision that the Prime Minister who is also the Secretary General for the People's

00:56Action Party will have to make and I'm sure will be announced in due course, but in the

01:01meantime, I will continue to focus on serving Hongkanof residents, really connecting with

01:09them, understanding their needs, assisting them as well as continue to enhance the living

01:16environment.
