Lorsqu'un nouveau couple emménage à côté de chez lui, Mike se lie rapidement d'amitié avec la jeune Jenna et son mari Scott, concessionnaire automobile. Travaillant à domicile, Mike a amplement le temps de prêter attention à cette belle et jeune voisine. Jenna révèle peu à peu les détails de sa vie avec Scott, qui montrent que tout n'est pas aussi insouciant que son mari voudrait en donner l'impression....
