00:11The International Criminal Court or ICC Registry
00:15consulted the alleged victims of extrajudicial killings during the Duterte drug war.
00:20According to the ICC Registry, they submitted a document to the Pre-Trial Chamber 1.
00:26Three consultations were held in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
00:31More than 200 bodies were found.
00:34The ICC clarified that the consultation is not yet related to the case of the former President Duterte.
00:40One of its purposes is to ensure that the bodies have an ID.
00:44The ICC Registry asked the Pre-Trial Chamber to receive various official IDs
00:50that are being issued in the Philippines because the National ID System has not yet been implemented.
00:55The ICC spokesperson, Dr. Fadi L. Aldala, also clarified that not all victims are possible witnesses.
