00:00A Chinese research vessel was spotted inside the archipelagic waters of the Philippines.
00:06It was immediately intercepted by the PCG through a radio challenge and the deployment of the aircraft.
00:13Patrick Teresu in Central Nabalita, live.
00:18Yes, Angelique.
00:19The Philippine Coast Guard is continuing to track down a Chinese research vessel
00:25that is currently inside the archipelagic waters of the Philippines.
00:30The Chinese research vessel, Songhang, was last seen.
00:3558 nautical miles from the eastern part of Aborlan, Palawan.
00:41The PCG deployed the aircraft but the research vessel did not respond to the radio challenge.
00:49We are challenging them that they are not authorized to carry out marine scientific research
00:54and that they are advised to leave the area if they are doing so.
01:02Meanwhile, the PCG is again spreading false information on the issue in the West Philippine Sea.
01:09But for Commodore Tariella, there should be a proper punishment
01:14if the National Security Council compromises on the opinions that are being spread as false information.
01:24Everybody is entitled for their own opinions but we are not entitled for our own facts.
01:29There is no substitute for a truthful narrative or a factual event.
01:35Once you say that it is just your opinion, for me, it is not true anymore.
01:42And now, Angelic, we will talk about Taiwan,
01:46a part of the Armed Forces of the Philippines mandate
01:49to ensure the safety of Filipinos in other countries that may be in trouble.
01:54Next, the AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo Browner, Jr.,
01:58reminded the military to be prepared for the possibility of a Taiwan invasion.
02:02According to the AFP, there are contingency plans in these scenarios.
02:08The PCG will provide additional details on this.
02:12Angelic.
02:13Okay. Thank you very much, Patrick De Jesus.
