00:00The National Food Authority, or NFA, was happy to announce the various achievements and successes of the past year.
00:07According to the NFA, the agency has been able to keep the highest number of buffer stocks in the past year.
00:13For example, this February, the agency had almost 400,000 metric tons, or 8 million bags of rice, in its supply for 8 days.
00:23This was the result of the agency's increase in the price of rice for farmers ranging from Php 16 to Php 23 per kilo.
00:32This amounted to Php 17 to Php 30 per kilo,
00:36which is higher for many farmers who sell rice to the NFA, which is why its buffer stocks increased.
00:44The agency also launched the Agri-Food Infrastructure Modernization Program
00:49to become a new facility of the food supply chain that can benefit farmers and buyers.
00:55Meanwhile, the agency has achieved many more successes despite the challenges they face,
01:02such as the change in the leadership and investigation of the Odmoodsman to their officials.
