Charlotte Cardin caught up with Billboard’s Rania Aniftos & Jazzy on the red carpet at the Billboard Women in Music 2025.

00:00Welcome! Oh my god, a supermodel has blessed us here today. I mean, hi, you both look gorgeous.

00:07So do you. Thank you so much. I'm happy to be here. Oh my gosh, what a beautiful event. I mean,

00:13I love women in music. I get blessed to be able to be here every year. I mean, because you really

00:17feel the energy, don't you? Absolutely. It's so nice. I mean, it's such an important event, right?

00:22Like, women are so inspiring. And it's still an industry that is unequal in a lot of ways. Like,

00:29if you look at on stage, behind the scenes, it's still very male-dominated. And so,

00:33being able to celebrate women and talented women is just wonderful. So I'm so happy to be here.

00:40And I'm sure that we're all very happy that you're here with us today.

00:43And I wanted to know, who's a woman in music that inspires you?

00:48Oh my god, there are so many. I mean, I'm just, I'm really excited to see Gracie Abrams tonight.

00:54I kind of discovered her music more recently, and I just love what she does. I find her so

00:59inspiring. I mean, I grew up listening to my girl Celine Dion. She's like my number one girl. I'm

01:05French-Canadian. So like, obviously, always, I've always had Celine tattooed on my heart.

01:11Absolutely. I grew up listening to so many incredible voices. Beyonce is a huge influence

01:16for me as well. Like, just strong female vocals have kind of shaped a lot of my musical identity

01:23as well. So I'm just so inspired by female musicians and artists.

01:28You are Canada's Woman of the Year, by the way. I don't even know how I forgot to mention that.

01:32But like, speaking of Celine Dion and all these incredible Canadians, I mean,

01:36how does it feel to represent this country?

01:38It feels amazing. I mean, it's such an honor. It's been a journey, and I've been doing music

01:44for a long time. And to get that kind of recognition is such an honor, especially

01:49alongside women that I admire so much here tonight, like all of these artists. Anna,

01:54who's Global Woman from Italy, who's also winning the same award as me, is an artist that I've been

01:59listening to for a long time. And all these incredible artists and songwriters. It's just,

02:05it's an honor to be here, truly.
