Donostia-San Sebastián (Basque: Donostia, Spanish: San Sebastián, known officially as Donostia-San Sebastián) is the capital city of the province of Gipuzkoa/Guipúzcoa, in the Basque Country, Spain. Locals call themselves donostiarras, both in Basque and Spanish. Its population is 184,248 (2008 estimate), and its metropolitan area's population is 405,099.
