Recently a series of tornadoes ripped through the midwest, leaving destruction in their wake. Now another has struck the city of Colona in Illinois. This video was captured by an eyewitness who was caught up in the cyclone, filming the whole thing from inside her house. Veuer’s Tony Spitz has the details.

00:05Now, another has struck the city of Kelowna in Illinois.
00:08This video was captured by an eyewitness who was caught up in the cyclone, filming the
00:12whole thing from inside their house.
00:14You can see debris whirling through the air as the roof of a building just across the
00:17street is literally ripped from its foundation.
00:24Power lines begin to spark as the cyclonic winds whirl around the house, and just as
00:28quickly as it began, it was over.
00:31Video from after the event shows further destruction, as a videographer walks around the neighborhood
00:35surveying the scene.
00:36In a recent statement, President Joe Biden offered condolences to those who were affected
00:40by the storms, all as recovery efforts have begun to repair the damage done.
00:45NPR reports that at least 32 people have been killed by the recent spate of tornadoes in
00:50the Midwest and the U.S. South.
