00:00At least six people have died and nine have been injured after a tourist submarine carrying

00:0645 people sank in Egypt's Red Sea on Thursday.

00:11All of the victims were Russian nationals.

00:15After the incident, the region's governor visited a hospital treating the survivors.

00:21The vessel went down after setting off from the harbour in the coastal city of Uganda.

00:27It was heading for an underwater tour of local coral reefs.

00:31It is not yet clear what caused the submarine to sink.

00:36This is not the first incident of its kind in the Red Sea.

00:40In November last year, a tourist boat also sank, leaving 11 passengers dead or missing.
