00:00Severe cyclonic storm, very severe cyclonic storm frequency is increasing
00:04along the coast. There are several reasons we can say due to climate change or global warming.
00:18Heavy furious winds were there, then heavy downpour was there starting from the midnight.
00:24One place has received nearly 40 centimeters of rainfall also which is very very very dangerous
00:31and flooding has taken place and there is lot of reservoirs are being flooded off. So many
00:38have damages occurred, trees have collapsed, electric poles have fallen down and lot of
00:44damages have occurred.
00:53Since suppose 1890s to 2004 or recent years, you can see that if you are dividing the cyclone
01:03intensity like up to cyclonic storms and above cyclonic storms, we are seeing that up to
01:11say 1940s or 1950s or 60s, the number of severe cyclonic storms is less compared to the cyclonic
01:20storms. Severe cyclonic storms, a very severe cyclonic storm frequency is increasing along the
01:26coast. Especially the east coast of India taken from Tamil Nadu right about to the West Bengal or
01:39Bangladesh region, it is a cyclone prone area and every year at least on the average two to
01:47cyclones hit this east coast of India and compared to Arabian Sea, at least four cyclones are formed
01:55while one cyclone is forming over Arabian Sea.
02:01We should be able to construct some cyclone protected houses like we are having some
02:08earthquake resistant buildings etc. So like that you should be having some
02:15cyclone resistant houses or any type of buildings.
