01:14You would have seen in newspapers, banks not performing as such, the NPAs of banks had been a cause for worry as soon as in 2014 when PM Modi came to power.
01:30In order to bring the NPAs down, there were specific formulations.
01:35Those who took the loans, led it to become an NPA and didn't pay back the taxpayers' money which is what is in the banks.
01:45We as a government have actively pursued them, whether they are in this country or whether they have gone away from India.
01:53And ensured that their properties are attached, ensured that the properties are through a legal process, sold or auctioned out.
02:04And those monies have been paid back to the banks.
02:08That shall continue to happen.
02:11And irrespective of where the NPA holders are and irrespective of where their accounts were,
02:18every NPA shall be pursued actively so that the money which has been taken away from the banks,
02:27banks' monies are taxpayers' monies and that shall apply to J&K as well.
02:33We shall get back every money which has been taken from the banks and not serviced.
02:37It will come back to the banks.
