00:25It all started on March 25th when OpenAI launched its newest image generation tool as part of GPT 4.0.

00:31Users quickly realised it was eerily good at mimicking the iconic art style of Hayao Miyazaki.

00:37Studio Ghibli, founded by legendary animator Hayao Miyazaki,

00:41is famous for its hand-drawn, dreamlike animation and deeply emotional storytelling.

00:46Films like Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle have captivated audiences worldwide,

00:53making the Ghibli aesthetic instantly recognisable and beloved.

00:57Soon, the internet was flooded with Ghibli-style selfies, pets, pop-culture icons,

01:02even everyday objects like coffee cups and bicycles.

01:05Even OpenAI CEO Sam Orc joined the fun.

01:08He joked on X about spending a decade building AI, facing years of indifference and criticism,

01:13only to wake up one day to hundreds of messages turning him into a twink Ghibli-style character.

01:19So, what's new with OpenAI's update?

01:21ChatGPT, powered by GPT 4.0, now lets users create images directly in chat.

01:26But not without hiccups. Access for free users was delayed

01:29and a bizarre bug made the AI generate sexy men, but not sexy women.

01:33Love it or hate it, AI art is evolving and for now, the internet is happily living in a Ghibli-inspired wonderland.
