00:00If you're a boy or a girl, it doesn't matter, because you guys can win the competitions regardless.
00:07I'm Antara Patel and I'm 11 years old.
00:10Hi, I'm Preisha Patel and I'm 5 years old.
00:21We were walking down the street and everybody, I think, fears this,
00:26is that the hot air from the AC is very uncomfortable.
00:30So we thought that we should solve that problem because it's already very hot in Mumbai.
00:35So we looked at the different appliances at our homes and we came to the conclusion that the AC consumes most of the electricity.
00:44And so we looked more into that.
00:57We used an aluminium frame for the cones and a Lego frame to do circuit markers with Arduino and sensors.
01:03The cones were kept moist by using water from AC and RO, channelized by using drip irrigation.
01:09When the hot air passes through the cones, it cools the temperature of the air by 5-7 degrees.
01:15The best part is that it's natural, eco-friendly and sustainable.
01:19We worked with the traditional pottery to make the cones.
01:26We were an all-girls team and none of the teams were all girls in our category.
01:52So we were really looking forward to winning.
01:56We looked at the WRO website and we looked at the other team's videos and we saw that ours was actually the only one that wasn't using only Lego.
02:20So we thought maybe we could win the award.
02:27We can change it around, like to fit bigger ACs, give you chimneys and dryers and all of that.
02:35So it can be tweaked.
02:37Also, I'm very keen, I think we both are very keen on finding new solutions to real-life problems.
02:45So we would like to do that more and more.
