Rupert Grint lookalike is stopped daily but says "it's nice to have attention"

Lewis Parker, 33, from Spalding, Lincolnshire, is often mistaken for Rupert Grint and Ed Sheeran and is stopped daily for photos.  He was bullied for his resemblance to Ron Weasley but has turned it into a career as a lookalike, working at events and meet-and-greets.  Parker has collaborated with other Harry Potter lookalikes for over a decade and appeared on Channel 4’s Lookalikes.  He frequently attends festivals and themed events, sometimes visiting the Hogwarts grounds.  Though he has never met Grint, he enjoys the attention and says it feels like living a celebrity life — just without the money.

00:14it's literally you look like Ron Weasley, you look like that Rupert Grint fella

00:26like Ed Sheeran as well, that's a crossover. So I don't know what I'm going to get day-to-day,

00:33me and the missus we play games, I'll go on a day out and we'll see how many people call me Ed,

00:40how many people call me Rupert or Ron. I thought to myself, I looked in the mirror one day and I

00:44thought yeah I'm probably too old to portray a 14 year old wizard, so I kind of put Ron in a box

00:52and left him there. I did tribute Ed Sheeran for a little bit, play guitar and use a loop station

01:00like Ed Sheeran, but then one day I just thought you know what, you can't help who you look like,

01:04I'm just going to bring Ron back to life and bring some magic back to the Harry Potter fans.

01:10So I took to TikTok, the reception has been amazing at Harry Potter fans, they absolutely

01:16adore me and I adore them, I've met some amazing people through TikTok, other creators as well,

01:22they're so nice. I've got 115,000 followers, I've been on a job before with the Harry Potter

01:28lookalike. We got to meet Miriam Margulies who played Professor Sprout, she's a lovely lady

01:34and I was just in awe really, speechless. We had a photo taken with her and it was just nice to

01:38have Harry, Ron and Hermione with Professor Sprout. Obviously she wasn't in costume or anything, she's

01:44just in her natural glory and we were just in awe, so that was just one moment I will never forget.
