00:00Incumbent Parikina City Mayor Marcy Teodoro remains a candidate as representative of the city.

00:06This was confirmed by the Commission on Elections or COMELEC today

00:11after the Office of the Ombudsman suspended Teodoro for six months

00:15due to the alleged misuse of PhilHealth Fund.

00:19According to the COMELEC chief, Attorney George Irvin Garcia,

00:23Teodoro's name will remain in the ballots and he is still allowed to campaign.

00:28Meanwhile, earlier today, Romel Acuña has officially took his oath as the newly appointed acting mayor

00:34while his twin brother Renel Acuña will assure the role of acting vice mayor.
