Why People are Striking in Hong Kong

Meanwhile, in Hong Kong… After weeks of mobilization of pro-democracy protesters, Hong Kong has been paralyzed by a city-wide strike.

00:24of Hong Kong citizens, such that Hong Kong people can be entitled to an independent judicial

00:34system and the fundamental freedom of assembly and speech.

00:54I call on all the criminals to not misjudge the situation and treat restraint as weakness.

01:24We want to fight for Hong Kong's freedom and core values that we have, but I have never

01:49thought about why we are peaceful protesters, but why the government and police have to

01:56treat us like this.

02:20That means there will be no security, safety for Hong Kong.

02:25And we want everyone in Hong Kong to know that there is no criminals.

02:31Whoever participates in the movement, they are not criminals.
