00:22Women must believe in it.

00:29In a world that can seem so aggressive, confrontational, and dangerous, you should know that you have

00:48I don't think it's right for kids to grow up thinking these things that just might be

01:13The tagline said, women all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans.

01:23Two boys from my class said, yeah, that's where women belong, in the kitchen.

01:34I remember feeling shocked, and angry, and also just feeling so hurt.

01:44It just wasn't right, and something needed to be done.

02:04What I remember most strongly is talking to a very dynamic senior who was multitasking,

02:13who understood that her voice contributes to a lot of conversations.

02:34I'm biracial.

03:03Most people can't tell what I'm mixed with, and so much of my life has felt like being

03:08a fly on the wall.

03:10And so some of the slurs that I've heard, or the really offensive jokes, or the names,

03:16it's just hit me in a really strong way.

03:18And then, you know, a couple years ago, I heard someone call my mom the N-word.

03:29I'm a California girl, born and raised, so the flip-flop culture is part of just who

03:35I am.

03:36I love my cutoffs and flip-flops, and being as relaxed as can be, which is why it's so

03:40fun to dress up and play Rachel.

03:50UN Women, as you guys know, has defined the year 2030 as the expiration date for gender

03:57inequality.

04:00And here's what's staggering.

04:01The studies show that at the current rate, the elimination of gender inequality won't

04:09be possible until 2095.

04:22Because I'm from the States, you don't grow up with the same understanding of the royal

04:27family.

04:28And so while I now understand very clearly there's a global interest there, I didn't

04:34know much about him.

04:35And so the only thing that I had asked her when she said she wanted to set us up was,

04:39I had one question.

04:40I said, well, is he nice?

04:55Blutony was centered around your ethnicity, Megan.

04:59When you realized that, what did you think?

05:01Of course it's disheartening.

05:03You know, it's a shame that that is the climate in this world to focus that much on that,

05:10or that that would be discriminatory in that sense.

05:13But I think, you know, at the end of the day, I'm really just proud of who I am and where

05:17I come from.

05:19Buckingham Palace proudly announced the engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

05:27It happened a few weeks ago, earlier this month, here at our cottage.

05:33Just a standard, typical night for us.

05:35Just a cozy night.

05:36It was, what were we doing?

05:38Just roasting chicken.

05:39Roasting a chicken.

05:40Trying to roast a chicken.

05:41Trying to roast a chicken.

05:42And it was just an amazing surprise.

05:45It was so sweet and natural and very romantic.

05:50He got on one knee.

06:57After they kill off his mom, they don't want to be there anymore.

07:11We are just trying to embrace all of the quality time we get with our son right now and to

07:17not miss a single moment of his growth and development.

07:26I realized the only wrong thing to say is to say nothing.

07:34Because George Floyd's life mattered and Breonna Taylor's life mattered and Philando Castile's

07:41life mattered and Tamir Rice's life mattered.
