Animals are disapearing fast

200 species of animals have gone extinct in the past 100 years. The scariest part? Humans are responsible.

00:00We, as scientists, have a really important responsibility to say what the data is telling

00:13us.

00:14And what it's telling us right now is that we are really losing so many plants and many

00:18animals so fast that it is similar to the five previous extinctions on the history of

00:25life on Earth.

00:44A main difference from the past extinction is that this is caused by humans, that's the

00:49bad news.

00:50But also this could be the good news because if we are causing them, we also can stop its

00:55revert to the problem.

01:18We know what is causing it, we know what our activities are doing with them, and therefore

01:22we know what can be some of the solutions.

01:25And the solutions are important to understand because this is a way we have to change our

01:30activities to save those species.
