00:00I don't want prayers. I don't want thoughts. I want gun control.
00:12My son was in Las Vegas with a lot of his friends and he came home. He didn't come home last night
00:18and I hope to God nobody else sends me any more prayers. I want gun control. No more guns.
00:27My name is Francine Wheeler. Our younger son Ben, age six, was murdered in his first grade classroom
00:34on December 14th, exactly four months ago this weekend. Please help us do something
00:41before our tragedy becomes your tragedy. I just spent the last two hours
00:48putting the burial arrangements for my daughter's funeral. Who's 14?
00:52President Trump, please do something.
01:01We need it now. These kids need safety now. My daughter Jamie was murdered or
01:08some folks like to say these guns are used for hunting. So my daughter was hunted at school.
01:14I have dedicated the rest of my life to fighting for the cause of gun safety and I won't stop.
01:19We as a country failed our children. It should have been one school shooting and we should have fixed it.
01:28And I'm pissed because my daughter I'm not going to see again. Every night I beg for him to come
01:34to me in my dreams so I can see him again. And during the day I just focus on what I need to do
01:42to honor him and make change. What keeps me going is knowing that I'm saving somebody else's life.
01:48That I can look at myself in the mirror and know that I cared more about
01:53saving others other than just my child. We gave a great life to Joaquin. Joaquin lived in a beautiful
01:59city called Parkland. He was able to go to a great school, MSD, and some crazy laws allowed someone
02:10to get in that beautiful school in that beautiful city and shut down 17 people. This is a problem
02:16that is way beyond the person. This is the easy access to assault weapons. The liberty
02:25of any person to own a military style assault weapon and a high capacity magazine and keep
02:29them in their home is second to the right of my son to his life. Look at me and tell me
02:41guns were the factor in the hunting of our kids in this school this week. And look at
02:48me and tell me you accept it and you will work with us to do something about guns.
