00:00It's hard for seniors to get vaccine appointments because they don't have great reflexes, and I can do it much easier than them, plus they have very good technology.
00:17This was important to me because a lot of seniors, just like my grandparents, could not get appointments very easily, and I could do it very easily, so I wanted to help them out.
00:30The idea to create a website was foreign because everything was not organized very well, and I wanted everything to be more organized, so we created a website to get submissions.
01:00I was very, very happy about that because I needed to get the vaccine before I started chemotherapy for cancer. You cannot do it both at the same time, so thank God I got the vaccine a week before,
01:28and then I started my treatments, and now we are both, me and my husband, we are both vaccinated already for six weeks, so we are past the time of any danger, so I hope that this summer our life would improve somewhat, and we'll be able to go out more and maybe go to stores and have a more normal life.
01:59The COVID-19 made this whole year very difficult for all of us, I think maybe more for older people. You couldn't go out, we were afraid, even our children didn't let us, anybody to come to the house, so we were quite isolated.
02:17And then in January, when the vaccine came out, everybody wanted the vaccine at the same time, so it was very difficult to get an appointment. I remember in January, I tried to go on the computer and make appointments for us there, and after two minutes, if I didn't respond fast enough, the computer would throw me out, and I had to start over.
02:38I remember I sent one of my friends to you, and this guy, you called him 8 o'clock in the morning and you said, if you're ready at 9.30, you have an appointment. He jumped up and he was so happy, he got rested two minutes and left the house, because he was so happy that he got the appointment. They also couldn't get an appointment.
03:01It feels amazing knowing that I can help people and make their lives back to normal without them living in fear.
