"Welcome to the dawn of a new space age."  Richard Branson becomes the first billionaire to travel to space. And he wants to make space travel accessible to everyone.

00:00The mission statement that I wrote inside my space suit was to turn the dream of space

00:05travel into a reality for my grandchildren, who are here, for your grandchildren and for

00:13many people who are alive today, for everybody.

00:20I was upside down a few minutes ago, so excuse me.

00:23Anyway, what a day, what a day, what a day, what a day.

00:26I have dreamt of this moment since I was a kid.

00:30Honestly, nothing could prepare you for the view of Earth from space.

00:37The whole thing was just magical.

00:39Suddenly, you're looking down and you're seeing three people looking up at you.

00:43Hang on a minute, what are you doing down there?

00:45I was so honored to test the customer experience.

00:49Initially, I thought testing the customer experience was a little bit of an excuse to

00:54get me on.

00:54It wasn't.

00:56It's so great to just get out there, test the customer experience.

01:00You get lists and lists of little things and it's the little details that matter.

01:04So we are going to now have no details to sort out with this space flight.

01:10This remarkable crew of mission specialists and now astronauts.

01:19They are a complete delight to have flown with.

01:23The mission statement that I wrote inside my spacesuit was to turn the dream of space

01:28travel into a reality for my grandchildren who are here, for your grandchildren, and

01:36for many people who are alive today, for everybody.

01:40Having flown to space, I can see even more clearly how Virgin Galactic is the space line

01:46for Earth.

01:47We're here to make space more accessible to all and we want to turn the next generation

01:53of dreamers into the astronauts of today and tomorrow.

02:00We've all, us on this stage, have just had the most extraordinary experience and we'd

02:06love it if a number of you can have it too.

02:09So just imagine a world where people of all ages, all backgrounds, from anywhere, of any

02:16gender, of any ethnicity, have equal access to space.

02:20And they will in turn, I think, inspire us back here on Earth.

02:25If you've ever, ever had a dream, now is the time to make it come true.

02:29And I'd just like to end by saying welcome to the dawn of a new space age.
