00:00Why is it that we have to go to the extra mile when we can just have that table in our
00:09own comforts of our own selves?
00:21I grab my son, grab the diaper bag and I point to my 12 year old son Isaiah and say, let's
00:26go diaper assistant.
00:27I got him a perfectly performed squat that I perfected and threw Liam over my lap and
00:34just began to change him.
00:35Not knowing that my 12 year old was taking photos at the time, that's one of many techniques
00:39I do have, the squat.
00:40And I laugh about it all the time.
00:41I say, you know, I'll wake up in the morning and do squats to get my legs ready for the
00:46next diaper change.
00:48But that was just one day.
00:49There was many times I just laid him on the floor with dirty clothes.
00:53I'll take some dirty clothes out of his diaper and just lay it on the floor and lay him on
00:55top of it.
00:56There was times I even laid him actually on the top of a diaper.
01:02And that's when it dawned on me, you know, why isn't there more changing tables and bathrooms?
01:06It's routine.
01:07If you look at the picture of my son, he is comfortable.
01:11He already knows what's about to happen.
01:20Father saying that we salute you and this is a struggle that we have to go to.
01:25A mother saying, you know, about time as father speaking up so it can bring an awareness
01:30to my father or, you know, my husband or my brother who has, who's dealing with the same
01:35situations.
01:36We just need to have that moment where we can say, you know what, we feel like it's
01:41equitable and fair for us to be a father when it comes to our children.
01:55It's a matter of just opening your eyes to it.
02:03Society has this thing where there aren't fathers that really exist or we do exist,
02:08but we're not really hands on for our children.
02:10And we just have to change that fathers are here to just work and provide.
02:14I come from a group of friends.
02:16We're all fathers.
02:17We are providers.
02:18We are caretakers.
02:20We are diaper changers.
02:22We are the guys that stay up in the middle of the night that hold bottles and warm bottles
02:26and give them to somebody.
02:27We are those guys.
02:28The path of law.
02:29I don't know if that's even possible.
02:30The path of law to say, hey, this is something we need to do.
02:33We are asking for a changing table and that's all we need.
