00:00Thank you, Mr. Miller. Republicans are starting to raise concerns about Florida 6, the seat
00:08there that was filled by Mike Waltz. I wanted to see if you think Democrats have a chance
00:14of actually flipping the seat or if the DCCC should start investing in that race.
00:19I personally contributed to both candidates in Florida and have encouraged others to do
00:26so. These are races that should not, under ordinary circumstances, be on anyone's political
00:33radar. They are safe Republican seats that Donald Trump won by more than 30 points in
00:44both instances, including in Florida 6. The American people are not buying what the Republicans
00:53are selling. That is why they are on the run. All we hear about, including earlier
00:58today, was the notion that Republicans have some massive mandates. There's no mandate
01:04to enact the largest Medicaid cut in American history. There's no mandate to try to blow
01:11up the public schools in America. There's no mandate to fire thousands of veterans who
01:19served this country with great heroism. And now they've been tossed aside and discarded.
01:35And so chickens are starting to come home to roost. We've seen it in a variety of different
01:44special elections at the state and local level over the last several months. And it
01:54will be interesting to see what happens in Florida. These districts are so Republican,
02:03there would ordinarily be no reason to believe that the races will be close. But what I can
02:13say, almost guaranteed, is that the Democratic candidate in both of these Florida special
02:22elections will significantly over perform. This will represent another sign that the
02:33Republicans are on the run and that Democrats are going to take back control of the House
02:40of Representatives next year.
