00:00Lawyers who advocate for human rights and forgive victims of war on drugs
00:07assured the safety and security of the victims and witnesses in the trial of former President Duterte in the International Criminal Court or ICC.
00:16According to Attorney Christina Conte, it is no longer necessary for all victims to appear in the trial in the ICC.
00:24They may also be anonymous or not give a name to the witness as a protection.
00:29For the reparations and participation of the victims, they should submit a proposal to be included in the ICC process.
00:39They also encouraged the public to be accountable to those who see or read the information online,
00:46especially that disinformation may affect the strength of the victims to be included in the justice system.
00:53Meanwhile, the European country called President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to return the membership of the Philippines to the ICC.
01:02We continue to urge the Marcos Jr. administration to rejoin the ICC.
01:08If his intentions to cooperate with the ICC are truly genuine,
01:13if his intentions are truly meant to serve justice to the victims of the dirtiest crimes,
01:19then Marcos Jr. should have no problem returning to the fold and reinstating the Philippine government's membership to the Rome Statute.
