00:00It's one of the last photographs of Robin Williams, taken at a restaurant close to a

00:05rehab clinic where he'd checked in months before his death.

00:09Robin looks particularly frail.

00:11In the weeks before his death, Robin checked into Hazelden, an addiction treatment centre

00:16in Minnesota.

00:17He did so because he wanted to, quote, fine-tune and refocus.

00:21In truth though, Robin was more worried about the bouts of depression that were consuming

00:26While he was happy to talk publicly about his addictions to both booze and drugs, he

00:31kept his longer and more personally painful battle with Parkinson's disease all to himself.

00:39This was the moment when Robin became overpowered by his personal demons.

00:43To me, he's a comic genius that had so much to offer and so much life in him, and to see

00:51it cut short was very sad for me.

00:55Comedians, they experience highs and lows, they're usually very sensitive, very creative,

01:00very smart.
