00:00It is now time for sex education to be included in the legislation so that family planning in the country can be further advanced.

00:07But according to Maileen Mirasol-Quiray, spokesperson of the Commission on Population Development,

00:13sex education should be taught according to the age of the students.

00:21We are really supporting it.

00:23The Department of Education, what we call it here, is Comprehensive Reproductive Health Education.

00:29So it is really time for it to be integrated.

00:32Actually, sex education is already integrated in the curriculum.

00:37But of course, it should be age-appropriate, scientifically appropriate, and proven.
