00:00We have some breaking news that's coming in. The High Court Judge Cash Scandal now gets

00:04bigger. Burnt currency found near Justice Verma's home. On camera, toned currency found

00:10near Justice Verma's residence. As can be seen in the visuals on air, these are toned

00:17currencies. Currency notes have been found near Justice Verma's home. Now this entire

00:21controversy broke out on Holi night, March the 14th, when a fire broke out at Justice

00:25Verma's official residence in Delhi, during which the fire department personnel discovered

00:30wads of burnt currency. Now Justice Verma has refuted claims saying that neither him

00:35or his family members placed any cash in the storeroom where the fire occurred. And in

00:43the latest development in the case, burnt cash has been found near Justice Verma's residence.

00:55Arvind Ojha is joining us live on the broadcast from outside Justice Verma's residence. Let's

01:25listen in. So burnt cash debris has been found outside of Justice Verma's residence

01:50now in the latest development in the case. My colleague Ashutosh Mishra is joining me

01:54on the broadcast with more details. Ashutosh, we're learning, we're hearing that the cash

01:59scandal, HC Judge Cash Scandal is now getting bigger with burnt currency found near the

02:04Justice Verma's house. What more details can you give us about this? Stockpile of the burnt

02:13currencies and this is the residence of Justice Yashwant Verma. Till 48 hours ago, no one

02:18would ever knew that this is just a simple High Court Judge's residence and perhaps there

02:23are many judges who live in the Latiyan's Delhi. But all of a sudden when the news came

02:27in about the stockpile of burnt notes were found due by the fire brigade when there was

02:32a fire call at this residence. And even today, remember even after that the fire call was

02:36on 14th and even today we see the stockpiles and small pieces of these burnt notes continue

02:42to be found at this residence. So this morning when the NDMC workers, the local civic body

02:47workers came for the cleaning work and there we see stockpiles were found. All of them

02:52of course were gathered, taken away by the NDMC workers. Many of them, and it's not very

02:57difficult for the agencies to find the source of this income because many of these currency

03:02would have their number, the alphanumeric number on these currencies which are still

03:06be there at least on some. It will be easy for the investigative agencies to trace the

03:11source of money from where it was withdrawn, who withdrew it, the number of amount that

03:15in the stockpile was withdrawn. Until unless there is an intention of the investigative

03:19agency and the government to go in the deep and investigate this case. So far, however,

03:23we know the case is only being investigated by the Supreme Court who have found a three

03:27member panel. But until unless the investigative agencies come, look at these, the residents

03:33of the Justice Verma, of course, we have seen only a few people have been coming in or walking

03:36out, could be the officials or someone, looks like everything is cleaned up now. But the

03:42mess that we have seen so far could not be cleaned up and cannot be cleaned up. So far,

03:47only the investigative panel which is probing the entire matter, the Delhi Fire Chief has

03:53also been inquired and questioned by the probe panel. But what makes very important, the

03:58magnitude of the stockpile that was found at the residence was so huge that even today,

04:03remember, it's been 10 days and even after cleaning in certain area and the premises,

04:07you see these stockpiles, a piece of those burn notes are being found. These are actually

04:11the 500 currency notes and all of these images that was even released by the Supreme Court

04:16have only the stockpile of the five 500 currency notes, the bunch of those notes and that looks

04:21really huge. Of course, the number could be from 20 to 15 to 20 crore that is being anticipated.

04:26But only the investigation will tell exactly the number of the amount that were quite possibly

04:32available at that moment during with this call was given by the by the family members

04:37to the fire department. Now again, I say the question that remains the source of this

04:41money and it is very easy for the investigative agency when you have the stockpiles available.

04:47Many of these notes will have alphanumeric number, the course which you see on the top

04:51left of the currency note and that will make it very easy for them to trace out from where

04:56it was withdrawn, from which bank it was withdrawn, who withdrew it, who was the sign you signed

05:01that check particularly or in whatever form it was made withdrawn and then only you can

05:06reach on to the investigation linking to the role of Justice Yashwant Verma and of course,

05:11the source of that money, the cause of that money that was withdrawn and then circulated.

05:15But again, it raises the question on the intention at the slow probe. So unless we

05:20have the experts of the investigative agency probing this, but what makes very strange,

05:25remember, I mean, one could imagine the stockpile that even after 10 days,

05:29these currency burn notes are being found here and there.

05:33Yashutosh and it is important that you pointed out the magnitude of the stockpile that was found

05:37at Judge Yashwant's place because it's still being found almost 10 days after the entire incident took place.
