00:00Spain continues to be hit by rainstorms, with the latest one called Martino, causing some

00:07cities to declare a state of emergency and evacuate people.

00:12Dozens of roads have been closed and rivers have overflowed in large areas of central

00:18and northern Spain.

00:19In the city of Avila, a state of emergency was declared after the Adaja and Chico rivers

00:25overflowed and caused floods.

00:28In Madrid, several roads have been closed as the alert remains in place due to the flooding

00:34of the Manzanares river and over 40 people have been evacuated from the outskirts of

00:39the city.

00:40Meanwhile, near the town of Pujera in the southern Andalusia region, footage has been

00:46released of police still searching for a missing man who disappeared four days ago.

00:51Scientists and officials link the swings between drought and heavy rain to climate
