They aren't even related. He was her adoptive figure when she was lost. He gave her back to her original family once they were found and he only stayed in her life in such a minuscule through the text and videos she sent him. He really has enabled her more than anything and if he had known she was being abused when she went back home he probably would have stepped in earlier but she lied to him! There is the obvious age gap but in their culture isn't it like 16? I'm not sure
i hate the ending. it's disgusting that they ended up together, considering he raised her. he groomed her; there is no explaining it. why is China romanticizing grooming? it was good till the last 30 mins.
