00:00I mean, people watching will be saying to themselves, hang on, there was a deal, a ceasefire
00:05deal that took months to broker. It involved two US administrations. Lots of other countries
00:12were involved as well. I mean, are we looking at a situation in which that deal has effectively now
00:18just been shredded, and it no longer has any validity?
00:23Yes, this is exactly what we're looking at. So immediately after this deal was signed,
00:30Prime Minister Netanyahu made it clear that he was not happy with this deal. He ended up losing
00:35members of his cabinet as a result of this agreement. And it was clear that all he wanted
00:40was to be able to get some of the Israeli captives released, but that he had no intention
00:46of changing the situation for Palestinians in Gaza in any way, shape, or form.
00:51When he then went to the United States, he then pressed President Trump to revise the agreement.
00:58And this is why we're now seeing that the US has backed down from the very agreement
01:03that they have brokered. It's come to the place where President Trump is acting the exact same
01:08way as President Biden had acted, arming Israel, letting Israel get away with genocide, and doing
01:14whatever it is that it wants to do. What Netanyahu now wants to do is it wants to make sure that it
01:20has the ability to continue to bomb Gaza. And it wants to continue to blame Palestinians for
01:26bombing Gaza.
