Grandma meets granddaughter for the first time

This is the heart-warming moment a gran met her granddaughter for the first time for her 70th birthday.

Giezell Adawag, 39, travelled from California to Davao City in the Philippines to surprise her mother Josie Viduya on her birthday.

But this wasn’t just a birthday celebration; it was also the first time Josie would meet her granddaughter.

A video shows Josie in complete shock as she meets Avana, fourth months old at the time, for the first time.

Giezell said: "I hadn't seen my family since Covid pandemic.

"It was also their first time meeting my daughter.

"My mom was pleasantly surprised and it was a core memory for all of us. "
