Manchester’s representatives in the England Squad

Here is a rundown of players with association to Manchester and how they might fit in under new coach Thomas Tuchel.

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, my name's Theo Huston-Betts and today we're going to be

00:03looking at the England squad and specifically the Manchester players in there and how they

00:08might fit into new head coach Thomas Tuchel's system. Now at Chelsea Tuchel played a 3-4-2-1

00:14so we're going to assume that he's going to do the same thing. Let's jump right in and look at

00:18some of the Manchester associated players and how they're going to fit. We're going to start in net,

00:23a position that doesn't really change much, certainly not for England in recent years

00:27with Jordan Pickford seeming to hold down the number one spot. Dean Henderson and James Trafford

00:31might have something to say about it though. Dean Henderson's been a big hit at Crystal Palace

00:35since joining from Manchester United and James Trafford's having a wonderful season at Burnley

00:39in the Championship keeping an insane amount of clean sheets. It might be a little bit too early

00:44for Trafford who came through the Manchester City Academy but I'll be hoping to get some game time

00:48to really try and stake a claim to make the next major tournament. In defence, Kyle Walker's the

00:53man that's made it through having recently left Manchester City. It seems as though Tuchel is

00:57keen to bring back some of Southgate's leaders potentially to try and ease the transition.

01:02Now while we're talking about Manchester City related players, Cole Palmer, Morgan Rodgers

01:05and Phil Foden will all be competing for the two positions behind the centre striker. All three came

01:10through the Manchester City Academy and all three have had really good years although Foden took a

01:15little while to get going as City have struggled. Morgan Rodgers in particular has had a breakthrough

01:20year and should be hopeful of getting a bit of a start at least some game time over the course of

01:24these two games. Marcus Rashford is the only striking option having turned his form around

01:29since joining Aston Villa. He's showing some of the flair that we associated with him when he first

01:33came through. Our first game's against Albania on Friday, second game's against Latvia on Monday
