00:00This is one of the best pitches I've heard all day.
00:03Today, the global $2 trillion steel industry relies on fossil fuels to turn iron ore into steel.
00:08Instead, based on technology we developed at MIT, we use electricity to convert the
00:13CO2 emissions at these plants into the input fuels they already use.
00:17This means a drop-in solution that is compatible with intermittent power,
00:20it decarbonizes an industry that contributes 10% of global CO2,
00:24and most importantly, it doubles the margins for these steelmakers.
00:27We've already been awarded half a million in non-dilutive,
00:29and now we're raising three million to build our next pipe.
00:32First of all, I hope that my kids are as smart as this guy because he used a lot of words
00:36and a lot of symbols I haven't heard since the periodic table of elements
00:39back in the late 90s when I took chemistry two times in a row.
00:42For real, this guy obviously did a great job of being a communicator about MIT,
00:45which is one of the most prestigious schools in the world.
00:48I'm still waiting for my offer letter.
00:49In the world of investing as well, there's a thing called a flyer,
00:52which means like you kind of just roll the dice differently and really bet on the pitch.
00:56This is an example of what I would consider to be a flyer worth pursuing.
01:00Evan, I would love to invite you all the way up to the boardroom.
01:03Thanks for being a part of Elevator Pitch on the Street.
01:06In order to show our gratitude,
01:07Amazon Business would like to award you $500 in Amazon gift cards.
01:12Thank you so much.
