00:00That was the most anticipated phone call in the world.
00:05Moscow had one week to respond to a 30-day ceasefire proposal by Washington which Ukraine
00:11had agreed upon.
00:14What's missing in this crucial moment, which can help put an end to the largest and bloodiest
00:20war in Europe since World War II, is Europe itself.
00:25The EU has not participated in the talks which can put an end to the war at its own
00:31borders and that was a mistake, says Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign
00:36Affairs of Belgium.
00:38We need to be involved in the process.
00:41It is not yet the case and we think that it's certainly a mistake.
00:47It's not the role of President Trump representing the interests of Europe and Europe should
00:53be around the table with its own representatives.
00:59I emphasize the key role that Kaja Kallas, our representative for the foreign policy
01:07of Europe, is playing.
01:09On top of getting its seat at the table, the EU is facing a challenge of getting all members
01:13agree first among themselves.
01:15The American goal is peace and the Americans are talking about peace with the Russians.
01:23Brussels wants to continue the war.
01:26So it's unquestionable that entities, countries, organizations that want to continue the war
01:32would invite them to the peace talks.
