00:00Ukraine has agreed to accept a U.S.-proposed immediate 30-day ceasefire in Russia's ongoing

00:06invasion of the country.

00:07According to a joint statement, Kyiv's officials expressed readiness to accept the U.S. proposal,

00:13which can be extended by mutual agreements of the parties.

00:16U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the bull is now in Russia's court.

00:21Today, we made an offer that the Ukrainians have accepted, which is to enter into a ceasefire

00:26and into immediate negotiations to end this conflict in a way that's enduring and sustainable

00:32and accounts for their interests, their security, their ability to prosper as a nation.

00:36Hopefully we'll take this offer now to the Russians.

00:39And we hope that they'll say yes, that they'll say yes to peace.

00:41The ball is now in their court.

00:43Of course, we want, we're ready to do everything to achieve peace.

00:50Meanwhile, the Trump administration said it would immediately lift its suspension of military

00:55support to Ukraine and its intelligence sharing with Kyiv.

00:59The deal marks a significant change of tone between the U.S. and Ukraine, with both countries

01:04now signaling they are on the same side in the ongoing negotiations.
