00:00President Trump's campaign was always clear on immigration. His administration
00:05would tighten border security and deport anyone they could find without the
00:09proper visas or documentation. Now the president has doubled down on his
00:14promises and urged unauthorized immigrants to self-deport using a new
00:19phone app. Axios reports Trump warns immigrants that if they have any hopes
00:25of eventually becoming U.S. citizens they should register with the Customs and
00:29Border Protection app and leave now. The effort comes as Trump's push to deport
00:35millions and millions of unauthorized immigrants is facing a lack of funds,
00:40detention space, officers and infrastructure. Now my administration is
00:46launching the CBP home app to give people in our country illegally an easy
00:51way to leave now and self-deport voluntarily. If they do they could
00:57potentially have the opportunity to return legally at some point in the
01:01future. The question now is will people believe him? Meanwhile the app itself
01:08still has much to improve upon. According to the Apple App Store the CBP app is
01:13riddled with one-star reviews stating it's hard to get appointments, hard to
01:19upload photos and a slew of other errors that prevent it from doing what it's
01:23supposed to. This probably isn't the solution to Trump's immigration problem
01:28but time will tell.
