00:00Illinois. He said we don't have conversations and we have a conversation.
00:06We just disagree with you on arithmetic. The arithmetic is pretty simple.
00:11Bush Jr. 2.3 trillion dollars worth of tax cuts. 2017, borrowing 2.3 trillion
00:19dollars for a tax cut. Now to hold forth on the basis of what is alleged to be
00:26this out-of-control debt. Oh and by the way we're going to raise the debt
00:30ceiling by four trillion dollars in coming weeks so that we can pay for
00:33another tax cut. I mean the logic escapes all of us here. How we can hold forth and
00:41suggest on one hand we're all very concerned about the debt. Oh but we'll
00:45borrow 2.3 trillion dollars to add more to the debt. And now four trillion dollars
00:51we will add to the debt. But we can't have that conversation because it gets
00:58in the way of our determination to continue to do borrowing and then
01:02complain about the size of the debt. Additional members wish to strike the
01:08last word? Seeing none, are there any amendments?
