00:25Recently, both Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations condemned the kidnapping

00:34Samar Yaber, former head of the ministry's mental health department, says that such incidents

00:40are repeated daily and have wreaked havoc on the mental health of Gazans, especially

00:45children.

00:46The expo says that these scars extend across generations.

00:55In Palestine, the World Food Programme has warned of a drastic price rise in the gas

00:59strip, with some products up by more than 200%.

01:03The programme, which is affiliated to the United Nations, has pointed out that a blockade

01:08of humanitarian aid is the main cause of this situation and that women and children are

01:15It called on the genocidal Israeli authorities to prioritize the needs of the civilian population

01:20and allow vital humanitarian aid into the country for the Palestinian people.

01:30community for 242 million euros to continue its operations in the region for the next

01:36six months, both in Gaza and the West Bank.

01:44In Yemen, the government authorities report the re-establishment of the naval blockade

01:49exclusively for Israel.

01:51Yemeni Foreign Minister Jamal Amir said that the decision was reinstated because of the

01:57genocidal regime's refusal to implement the ceasefire agreement reached in Qatar.

02:02He stressed that the naval ban includes the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb

02:07Strait and the Gulf of Aden, while stating that any Israeli vessel that crosses the declared

02:13area of operation will be prosecuted.

02:16He reiterated that the ban will remain in place until the crossings with Gaza are reopened

02:22and humanitarian aid is allowed in.

02:29In Palestine, a charity in the northern Gaza Strip has been distributing hot meals to

02:33war-worrying Palestinians during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan as Israel continues

02:39its blockade of the coastal enclave.

04:57displaced Palestinians have returned to northern Gaza, and hundreds of aid trucks were entering

05:02daily until Israel cut off supplies to the territory's two million inhabitants a fortnight

05:07ago, re-exposing the inhabitants to various risks.

05:21In this context, the United Nations' Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs

05:25has sounded the alarm over the dire situation in Gaza, where hospitals are rapidly running

05:32out of essential medical supplies.

05:35The World Health Organization, WHO, reports that the health sector is severely damaged,

05:41with 84% of health facilities either damaged or destroyed.

05:45This along with the Israeli blockade has led to critical shortages of medicine, medical

05:50supplies and skilled personnel.

05:52The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant trauma-related injuries, with over 24,000

05:59people suffering major life-changing injuries by September 2024.

06:04The lack of access to essential services, including maternal and child health care,

06:09has worsened the humanitarian situation, with reports of increased malnutrition and related

06:14deaths, particularly among children and the elderly.

06:22Another consequence of the Israeli blockade is the desperate struggle to secure regular

06:26supplies of fresh water, with many waiting for days to fill makeshift containers.

06:32The situation has become increasingly dire as water aid trucks arrive, drowning long

06:38queues of people who often walk considerable distances to obtain this essential resource.

06:44Gaza relies heavily on external water sources, including the Mekorot water line from Israel,

06:50which is often threatened with closure.

06:53This has heightened fear of a major water shortage, exacerbating health risks due to

06:58contaminated water.

07:06We are suffering from the issue of drinking water and salty water.

07:10We wait for three or four days waiting for the truck carrying filtered water to come.
