00:44but this is their simple way to show their support and love for him.
00:48I hope that the International Criminal Court will see this.
00:51We know that we will not be able to see him.
00:54But we need to show our support for him
00:57because we love him very much.
01:00They also went to the ICC and went to the Church
01:03to light a candle and pray for Duterte.
01:06They will return on March 23 to attend the Malawkang Rally
01:10and to pay tribute to Duterte's day on March 28.
01:14The ICC can hear the voices of Filipinos.
01:19There are a lot of Filipinos who support Duterte.
01:24For now, the former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea
01:28is the only one who is formally a lawyer for the former President.
01:31Attorney Harry Roque said that he already talked to
01:34the British-Israeli lawyer Nicholas Kaufman,
01:37who is one of the people who submitted their names to the ICC
01:40to become Duterte's counsel.
01:42I have confirmed who the counsel is.
01:44I have confirmed who the counsel is.
01:46The only one who was recognized by the government
01:48is Attorney Bingbong Medialdea.
01:50I don't know because until now,
01:52we still don't have permission to enter the detention facility.
01:55But we talked to Attorney Kaufman and we are still waiting.
02:00According to the website of Kaufman's law firm,

02:12the jurisdiction of the ICC
02:14before the next hearing is scheduled for September 23.
02:17VP Sara and I have been preparing for a year.
02:22And everything that we expected to happen, in fact, happened.
02:25So we have a contingency for everything that has happened.
02:28On September 23, the confirmation of charges hearing was scheduled
02:32to find out if there is sufficient evidence
02:34that shows there are substantial grounds
02:36that the accusations were made by the suspect.
02:38According to the arrest warrant of the ICC to Duterte,
02:41there are reasonable grounds to believe that Duterte
02:44is responsible as an indirect co-perpetrator
02:47for crimes against humanity.
02:49According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency,
02:51more than 6,000 were killed during the war against drugs by Duterte.
02:55According to the Commission on Human Rights,
02:57it reached 27,000.
02:59More than 8,000 according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
03:03According to the complaint filed by Duterte in the ICC pretrial chamber,
03:07it was found that less than 24 were killed
03:11from 2016 to 2019 during the war on drugs by the Duterte administration.
03:15And less than 11 were killed from 2011 to 2016
03:19by the Davao Death Squad.
03:21According to one of the five Philippine ICC-accredited lawyers,
03:25Attorney Joel Ruiz Butuyan,
03:27the purpose of the ICC trial was not to prove all the murders.
03:31He just needed to show the prosecution
03:34if the killing as a solution to illegal drugs has been systematic and done by the police
03:39and if the murders will happen.
03:42Widespread and systematic.
03:44They will show that.
03:45They will present sample incidents
03:48that will prove that the killing as a solution to illegal drugs was done by the police.
03:54The prosecutor will give former President Duterte
03:57the evidence to use against him in the trial.
04:01It's a great privilege for him because we don't have that here in the Philippines.
04:05The trial will be very fair.
04:07Roque said that he did not leave the Netherlands when former President Duterte was not with him.
04:12As of now, Vice President Sara Duterte was the only one
