00:00All right. Thank you. Then next is Senator Cantwell. Thank you. Mr. Chairman. I don't know if I can do this in three minutes
00:06But I can tell you this that it's 52 days now of the Trump administration
00:11That was promised to bring lower cost and deal with inflation and we have seen no solutions
00:18Even presented put on the table that would help us understand what this administration is going to do to lower costs
00:26Mr. Faulkner and the Department of Treasury could have come before this committee and told us what they are going to do on more affordable
00:33Housing one of the stickiest parts of inflation and yet we've heard nothing from the administration
00:39On what they're going to do to lower cost
00:41They could have come to this committee and said they supported the PBM efforts to lower drug costs and we still have not heard anything
00:48About their desire to lower drug costs and on the cost of food
00:53We know this they are proposing tariffs that are raising the cost on average
00:59Americans for what we are going to have to pay at the grocery store
01:03the chaotic
01:05Tariffs that this administration is pushing is not the agenda the trade agenda
01:11Approved by this Congress nor is it an agenda that has ever proved?
01:16Successful in the history of the United States and yet that is the preposterous
01:22Preposterous trail that we are now on so mr. Faulkner as part of the first of Trump administration
01:29Where was he when the retaliatory tariffs hit farmers?
01:33He saw markets disappear right under our nose and yet he still believes in this tariff first approach
01:40Mr. Chairman, I hope that our committee will do much more in reining in what is article one
01:46Responsibilities of this Congress to make sure that the issues of tariffs are
01:52Covered and that we have the responsibility to do so so until mr
01:56Faulkner and the Treasury Department recognizes the terrible damage that tariffs are doing. I'm a no on his nomination
