00:00Hello, I'm Amy, I'm the Director for Rising Music Festival.

00:05My name's Ali and I'm the Artist Development Director for Rising Music Festival.

00:10So Amy, tell us what Rising Music Festival is about.

00:15So Rising Music Festival, I think the clue's in the name, is about rising.

00:19So all artists under the age of 24 are going to be taking over the Phoenix Theatre and

00:23Arts Centre in Borden for two days over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of June.

00:29We're going to have multiple stages, all genres welcome to apply, and it's about no matter

00:33what stage you are in your career, you're going to come along and you're going to play

00:38and show everyone what it's all about.

00:40We're going to be capped at about 500 and in the lead up to the festival, Ali and I

00:44are going to be looking at nourishing all the local talent.

00:47So you can come along to one of three of our workshops and one of three of our Battle of

00:51the Bands, where the winner will be headlining the festival.

00:54Yeah, absolutely.

00:55Yeah, so applications are on the website and there's loads of social media on Facebook

01:02from Backbeat Collective and I think your band as well, White Knives for Sheep.

01:06And obviously the Phoenix have got all the information on their website.

01:11But we encourage everyone, musicians, musical theatre, classical, jazz, rappers, producers,

01:17DJs, anyone that needs any help with any kind of industry stuff, this is definitely the

01:22festival for you.

01:23This is your chance to apply.

01:25Photographers, videographers, as Ali said, literally anyone.

01:29If you've got any kind of interest and you're under the age of 24, please get in contact

01:32and we will fit you in somewhere.

01:33We will find a way to help you somehow.

01:35And if you're not under the age of 24, please come along, please come and help support these

01:39local artists.

01:40It's £15 for the early bird tickets and that's for the entire weekend.

01:44We also have discounts on group bookings and that's until the end of March.

01:48So if you want to grab yourself a bargain, because where else are you going to get an

01:51entire weekend of entertainment for £15, then please do so and the tickets are available

01:56through the Phoenix Arts website.
