00:00My name's Lily and I'm a Collections Assistant here at Wittock Manor and Gardens in Wolverhampton
00:05and we're stood next to now, Love Among the Ruins by Edward Burne-Jones.
00:10This work has been away on loan for the last year, partly due to our big MEND project that's been taking place
00:16but we're so pleased now to have it back and installed with its brand new lighting.
00:20In 2024, when we started Phase 2 of our MEND project, the great parlour was dismantled
00:27and so a lot of the collection work had to be either removed from the room or went out on loan
00:32and that included two of our largest paintings.
00:35Love Among the Ruins went on loan to Italy and then later went to Upton House, which is also owned by the National Trust.
00:41Partly because for the safety of the painting, it made sense for it to be looked after by another place
00:47instead of being in storage, but we're so pleased now to have it back with us
00:51and we hope you come and have a look at it soon.
