00:08and could accepting it be seen as declining Israel's support?

00:13First of all, thank you for having me now.

00:16I was the first Israeli, not only Druze, but Arab minister in the Israeli cabinet.

00:22Then about what's happening in Syria, the situation is something else, you know.

00:28All the world is watching what's happening in Syria,

00:31and more the Druze and other minorities.

00:36We had a bad experience, really, because Mr. Joulani, Mr. Rashara,

00:42have been dominating the area of Idlib,

00:46and 18 Druze villages have been demolished,

00:51and young people and families run away

00:56and flee to Turkey and to Europe,

00:59because they are Druze, not something else.

01:02The Druze in Syria have a history,

01:06history for the independence of this state,

01:10and they have a feeling belonging to this country.

01:15So they have the right now to be suspicious.

01:19We are watching.

01:22Now in Israel, they are our brothers and our relatives, you know.

01:27Druze are committed to their lands, to their country.
