The Sepang Sessions Court has ordered cosmetic entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman to defend himself against four charges of uploading offensive content on his Instagram account in 2022.

00:15Judge Ahmad Fuad Othman ruled that the prosecution had established a prima facie case, noting
00:21that the video was inappropriate for the holy month of Ramadan.
00:25The offence falls under Section 233, Subsection 1, Paragraph A of the Communications and Multimedia
00:31Act, 1998, which carries a maximum fine of 50,000 ringgit, one year imprisonment or both
00:38upon conviction.
00:40After the court handed down its decision, Alif said he accepted the verdict and was
00:44prepared to defend himself.
00:47The court set May 19 and 22, as well as June 16 and July 3 for the trial.
